However, deep down inside he is a nice person Bio : The bastard child of the very well respected, wealthy samurai Moritsune Ubushingai. Moritsune had an affair with a bar maid then left her to fend on her own. Fearing that the woman would talk about him and ruin his 'good' name, Moritsune had her killed brutally. Hayate, being the son of Moritsune, survived and ran away from his home. No one believed Hayate when he told them his father killed his mother. Moritsune's name was to respected. Hayate was eventually hunted by his father's clan of samurai at age 8, until Hayate slipped completely away at age 15 having lived 7 years on the run. Living in the forest for awhile training, Hayate improved his skills. When hearing his father was coming into a town near the forest he lived at, Hayate sprung up a suprise attack at age 16. However his attempts to kill his father failed horribly, and Hayate was almost killed. Being severely beaten and impaled, Hayate was tossed in a river left to die. It took 3 years to heal completely, and Hayate decided to hunt his father with a morbid hatred. Hayate has spent many, many years hunting for his father but has lost track. He keeps it back a little, almost behind him to keep it more hidden under his clothes. But it is a special double-sided sword. Uma got it from a dying man who had it for a long time. When forged, the metal was folded a few more times than usual, making it extremely durable, with such extreme craftsmanship that it is still thin and lightweight. To keep it balanced, the sword has a longer handle, also with a slightly larger hand guard, and strangely with groves through the blade in a general area which make sound when swung. He keeps it attached to his waist sash about where his arm would rest at his right side, and can be detached and attached to his leg or right forearm for better access if he thinks he might need it. new yumi - Currently Umasaru keeps his bow wrapped around his body by the bow string, which was made for him by Saizo the blacksmith. For now he keeps his arrows in his waist sash. look: Umasaru almost never smiles, or looks sad, it stays an indifferent sort of scowl. He wears a long black cloth vest which stops at about above his knee, but gets longer as it goes around to the back and goes a little below his knee in the back. Under that he wears a loose white cloth shirt with the sleeves tied up and loose black pants. Around his waist he wears a tight dark red sash which his knife and sword are attached to, same color as the cloth that ties his pony tail. Under his vest and over his shirt, he wears a dark blue leather bustier that still shows some of his white shirt around the neck. Around both his forearms he also wears dark blue leather armlets. On his feet he wears lightweight black leather shoes. history: Umasaru had a cruel and corrupt father who gained his position doing things that wouldn't be spoken about in public. Umasaru didn't care about these things, all the time he was made to do work and errands, with little food. Just to get his work over with, Umasaru learned to do things quickly and efficiently, and became quick and strong with lots of energy and dexterity, but never grew very muscular due to lack of food. His father never let him do anything but work, Umasaru learned to be sly and devious to his father, the only way to get away was to escape and come back later. When he came back, he always got yelled at, sometimes beat, but it just made him strive to get his work done quicker to go out quicker. Some times he would go to town, and wander about watching people, or walk around in the forest and find his own things to do. Finally once one of his father's deals went raw, and caused a fight between two families. Umasaru's father fell in the ordeal, but he hid and got away, traveling on his own. He was a very quiet traveler, and never bothered anybody and got skilled at not being noticed unless he needed something. Eventually he came upon Edo and stayed there, but the only job he could get was moving boxes and equipment and other things for a food shop. After a while, Uma got caught up in some blackmarket trading, as a transporter, but only basically fell into it. By quickly learning how to survive while being hunted, Uma learned to have a quick whit and a good ear to strategize. In one mission, it crossed lines with another. Uma carrying one package, ran into another carrier who had something else, and was in trouble. The guy died, but Uma had never seen a finer sword, so he borrowed it and escaped to work for a client who wasn't as powerful, even though there was still danger, but luckily for him the thieves and assassins who were always after him, were always more for the package. fighting style: Uma was never traditionally trained, but he acts most like a ninja. He can be silent and sneaky, and can run massive distances, being strongest in the legs. Uma's believed that legs are the most important in fighting, since they are the strongest, and has the most muscle in his legs and lower body. Having lots of mid-body muscle also helps in back-and-forth punching, since basically leg movements are back-and-forth movements anywise. Although he isn't all that much trained in sword fighting, Uma's ability to quickly dodge and bend along with very good balance and reaction time make up for it. But due to only being specialized in those muscles, Uma is best at only doing traditional sideways slashes in whatever he is up to. His body figure is about average. He's usually looking down to hide his face from anyone who might seem familiar. He also has a huge scar on his arm, only half of it can be seen with his clothing on. His two swords are sheathed on both his right and left sides. Physical Description: He is very skilled with his Ken and To. He's also very quick and can easily outrun many people. He can very well run away, but he rarely has to do this. He has a strict sense of paying attention so it's really hard to sneak up on him unless you make very little sound. He is skilled with making and fixing all sorts of weapons. Mental Description: He's highly intelligent thanks to his father. He's usually thinking about how to save his village. His village is currently suffering with famine and warefare. An evil and powerful mercenary that has caused terror in Saizo's hometown, has gotten much more skilled and powerful that he was before, was the reason of the troubles in Saizo's hometown; the famine and warefare. The evil mercenary's main goal is to take Saizo's family's yen because Saizo's family is actually the richest among the others in his hometown. With all the yen that Saizo's parents gave him, the mercenary searches for him with the purpose of getting the yen. Due to the lack of food in his hometown, he was (and still is) suffering from a serious and unknown sickness that has caused him to have random and severe headaches from time to time. The last time this incident occured was when he was a little boy, and now...during the arguement with Ame. Because of the mercenary's evil plot to take all their yen, Saizo's family sent him away with all their yen to Edo. They wanted him to live there and escape from the horrible fate of his hometown. Saizo refused to do so, but agreed to go to Edo. He secretly promised to go back one day and save them. Until then, he has to find a great source of food and get more skillful and stronger. He plans on returning after two years; it has been five months since he left. Now he arrives at Edo in search for a powerful master and a huge source of food. During the 5 months he was heading for Edo, he had met many people; due to the fact that most of these people needed his help, he lost 1/4 of his yen. He hopes to master the swords Kuriyama and Kyutama, from his father and brother. His mother has given him a Kogai which he only holds for good luck. Bio: Parents died early in her life, killed by bandits which pillaged her village. She was later found and taken in by ninjas, and taught their techniques in killing, etc. However after a time she left the Kuroko to become a more independent assassin... and is now taking job offers. She's since faked her death to get out of killing people and is going under an alias to have a new life. Her attempts basically failed and after being caught in a sort of love-triangle with umi and aki, she was encouraged to stop running... and so chased down and slaughtered Lord Azuma (the one ordering the murders of Eriol and several other citizens) as well as his underlings. She died her hair a completely different color and with the scar Azuma gave her, assumed a new identity that better fitted her personallity after coming in like a swift wind of death, taking the lord's head home in a bag. With her new name, Shisou, she had a few encounters to test the disguise before dropping the bagged head off at Amethyst's supposed "grave"... and has most recently taken to sleeping on ame's old rooftop. Growing up in Kyoto was hard for her; the people all feared her and they worshipped her for having the Sight, though her abilities are rather limited (She can sense people and tell who they are and that's about it). She grew up playing with Geisha's in training, especially with the future Ichimono IV. They became lovers when she was 14, and Ichimono helped her become a lady. After her father died, Mashinyami entered her life. He came to investigate her father's murder, but ended up falling in love with her instead. Fuji, Hiko was one out of his 4 brothers that made off the Mt. Fuij during the awakening of Mt. Fuij's fury. He flead to Yokohama and survived living on his own. He was later caught by the general of one of Japan's armies for stealing, but Hiko showed no fear when he was caught and the general admired Hiko's bravery so he trained him to fight beside him. Some years later during the war against Motohide and his army, Hiko finds Ame (who was then a slave), and he sees that she has the potental of a samurai warrior. So he illegally frees her from slavery and disguises her as a pupil of his, he teaches her the "ways of the samurai" all sorts of other things such as: reading, writing, some techniques and etc. He became the only person she could trust, until the general found out that Ame was stolen from slarvey by Hiko. End in the Hiko supposely was excecuted and from that moment on made Ame extremely hate all males. But, the fact is that Hiko faked his death and is back to regain vengence on the government. He now wanders the streets with a Katana that he looted from the blacksmith after it was attacked by Gorotsuki. He carries no sheath with it. Style: Yoshitaro is extremely skilled with all long blades. He particularilly favors the Katana but sometimes uses a naginata if he comes across one. He is also very skilled in hand to hand combat, which he is usually forced to use every time he breaks his sword. He despises short blades and is extremely unskilled with all throwing weapons. Appearence: Yoshitaro once wore a black robe but it was cut off during a fight with Gorotsuki. He now only has the robe bottom on. He has three battle scars on his body, which were delt out by Gorotsuki, one running horizontally across his stomach, another on his left shoulder, and a long one stretching across his left arm down to his lower right abdomen. Description: Yoshitaro was raised by his uncle who goes by the name Soura. Soura, an odd but powerful samurai, taught Yoshitaro the way for eleven years. Soura mysteriously dissapeared when Yoshitaro was fourteen. Since then, Yoshitaro has been ronin, wandering Japan in search of something which he doesn't know. After entering Edo he came across a series of odd characters including Koudanshi and the skilled fighter Gorotsuki. After fighting Gorotsuki for the second time, Yoshitaro emerges from the battle with three huge cuts on his body. One night 50 officers and gov't officials raided the estate and set in on fire. His mother was killed first. His father carried him and his brother Toruko Hakana, as far away as he could untill he could no longer run. He told both of them to run away as far as possible. Seiryu stood many yards away and watched his father. His father killed 30 of them untill 2 of them came up and killed him after 5 minutes and Sei thinks one of them is Enma. Of course Seiryu's life has never been as simple as walking into a town and finding his father's murderer right away no no no. In reality it was none other then his brother, Toruko. After a few minutes the 2 fighters left after he was killed and several minutes later the group of remaining officers left. When his brother and himself looked at his father's body Toruku got his father's Shinken. He has his father's ken which he always keeps with him. Together he and his brother killed 10 of the officers together since they were both trained by his father. When they went back to the mansion the next morning they buried their father and mother and split the family fortune in half. After 6 years they pretty much forgot about his bounty which when Seiryu was 12 it was over 100,000 yen which is now 300k.
